Simple Feng Shui Principles to Follow

Feng shui principles can be very overwhelming if one allows themselves. Feng shui is an age old tradition that takes years to completely understand. One can not simply buy a book and expect to know all the principles involved.

However, everyone who is interested in making their lives more harmonious due to the feng shui principles can follow a few easy and quick rules to enhance their life.

One of the first feng shui principles and most important that must be remembered and followed is that positive energy attracts positive energy. In other words, if one has positive thoughts then positive things will happen to you.

One of the most popular books on the market that incorporates this good feng shui principle is “The Secret”. Everyone from Oprah to CNN has discussed this book and this concept.

However, the success of feng shui depends on one’s intentions and constant attention, therefore thinking positively must be done consistently in order for a positive outcome to occur.

But no matter what the outcome, a person must be grateful for everything that they have even if they believe it is not what they deserve. If this alone is done, then things will truly come back to a person in full returns.

Because it takes years, a person cannot spend the time needed to learn all of the feng shui principles. However, a few simple feng shui principles can be followed if one takes time and incorporates them into their lives.

One easy principle to follow is to observe and be aware of the surroundings. Another one is to allow positive energy to flow freely after one harnesses it.

Either a feng shui book or feng shui consultation can help a person to achieve the process of harnessing positive energy in both the home and office. Another easy rule to follow is to always be able to see a person who is entering a room.

This can be achieved easily by placing a mirror strategically to allow a person to see all the entrances into a room that may otherwise be obstructed.

The feng shui principles that have been talked abut are very simple and basic. But, if a person can follow these principles, then a difference will be seen in the life of the individual practicing feng shui.

In order for feng shui to work, a person must have faith in this philosophy. Your feng shui can be enhanced if only one gives this philosophy the proper time and attention that is needed. Above all, a person must believe for anything to work including feng shui.

Comforted Sounds Of Music Wind Chimes

Modern wind chimes have their origins. By the second century, these wind chimes were being hung on the corners of large pagodas with the purpose of scaring away birds and evil spirits. Later, wind chimes were introduced to China and were also hung in temples, palaces and homes. Japanese glass wind chimes known as Frin have been produced since the Edo period. Wind chimes are thought to be good luck in parts of Asia and are used in Feng Shui.

Wind chimes are made from hanging tubes, rods or other objects. These are usually made of metal or wood. Wind chimes are often hung outside a building, on the window or door to be played by the wind. These wind chimes give visual and aural effects.

Wind chimes can be compared to garden ornaments as well as concrete garden ornaments. The garden ornaments and accessories set the looks of the garden. For a country garden, simple statues, garden ornaments and accessories can be used. Some gardeners prefer their concrete garden ornaments to have an aged look, even from new. Garden gifts are best suited for friends when the occasion comes around. Garden gifts can be easily purchased on websites. Garden gifts can be found either online or at nurseries.

Wind chimes can be made of materials other than metal or wood and in shapes other than tubes or rods. Other wind chimes materials include glass, bamboo, shell, stone and porcelain. More exotic items, such as silverware or cookie cutters, can also be recycled to create wind chimes. The selected material can have a large impact on the sound a wind chime produces. The sounds produced are not tunable to specific notes and range from pleasant tinkling to dull thuds.

Wind chimes produce inharmonic spectra, although if they are hung at about 1/5th of their length (22.4%), the higher partials are dampened and the fundamental is brought out. This is common practice in high-quality wind chimes, which are also usually hung so the center ball strikes the center of the wind chimes length. Frequency is determined by the length, width, thickness, and material. There are formulas that help predict the proper length to achieve a particular note, though a bit of fine tuning is often needed.

Feng Shui – A Few Bad Stars

In Chinese Metaphysics, there are many types of systems and formulas. One of them is known as Flying Stars systems of Feng Shui. In this system, there are nine types of stars which are given numeral of 1 – 9. These stars are actually bodies of energy (also known as Qi) that moves within a property. In Feng Shui, a property is divided into nine equal sectors based on compass direction of North, South, East, West, Northeast, Southeast, Northwest and Southwest. The sector without any compass direction is the center. The distribution of Qi over these sectors demarcates the good and bad sectors therein and formed an energy pattern within a property. The energy pattern in a property will change from month to month and year to year as the stars fly from one sector to the other. In Flying Stars Feng Shui, a property belonged to a period of time based on its facing direction. There are altogether nine periods and each period has 20 years based on the Chinese Solar Calendar. We are currently in period 8 which started in February 2004 and will last until February 2023. In each period, the nine flying stars are categorizes into good and bad stars. The good stars are deemed timely and will bring prosperity to residents of a property whereas the bad ones are considered untimely and become portents of misfortune. For this period, the few bad stars are 2, 3, 5 and 7.

Star 2 is considered inauspicious as it is the illness star of the period. It brings sickness, ill health and other ailments to the residents when it flies into a given sector of a property. For example, star 2 occupies the Northwest sector in the year 2008. A house with the main entrance in the Northwest sector or a room in the Northwest sector will be afflicted with the negative energy of this star and the residents will feel sick and unwell.

Star 3 is deemed inauspicious as it is the quarrelsome star for the period. This star portends discord, arguments and miscommunication. It brings disharmony to the residents. In year 2008, this star flies into the West sector of a property. A door or room where this star is located will subject the residents therein to arguments and relationship problems.

Star 5 is the most inauspicious as it is the misfortune star for the period. This star is also known as the Five Yellow. It is the harbinger of illness, accidents, calamity and other misfortune. In year 2008, this star flies into the South sector of a property. A door or room with this star brings losses and suffering, financially or health-wise, to the residents.

Star 7 is also inauspicious as it is the robbery star for the period. This star can cause residents to be accident prone and suffer injury. The other negative aspect of this star is the possibility of thefts and robbery occurring on the property. In year 2008, this star flies into the Southwest sector of a property. A door or room with this star brings hazards such as accidents, injury and thefts.

Whichever sectors these stars flies into within a property, residents should avoid staying or spending time there.

Feng Shui – A Panacea Against the Stress of Modern Living

This is one question that is begging for an answer amongst the enthusiast of this ancient Chinese Art of Geomancy. Feng Shui is a living skill practiced by the Chinese over the ages, as far back as 3000 years ago. It is observed that the living environment is abound with life giving energy known as Qi which is dispersed by the wind and gathers at the boundary of water.

How can Feng Shui help us live a stress free life? In today’s borderless world of instant communication, our mobile phone is our constant companion, day in and day out – so is STRESS! We strive to manage our time and our attitudes during the working hours and hope to end the day productively. The whole process repeats itself the next day and the next day and the next day-

Is there an energy we can tap into for daily rejuvenation? How wonderful if we can start each day fully charged and energized, both physically and mentally, in facing the tasks ahead? What is it that helps some people to look, feel and stay motivated all day long?

The secrets lie in energizing your living space by orientating your sitting and sleeping positions, both at home and at work, based on Feng Shui’s compass directions. If apply correctly, Feng Shui can gives you vitality, mental clarity and tranquility in your daily life.

In one of the many studies and applications of Feng Shui, all of us have our auspicious and inauspicious compass directions based on a formula which takes into consideration our date of birth and gender. The formula computes a number that determines each person -Personal Kua- and is derived from the numerical 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9. The number 5 is not considered as a Kua number. The Kua number will determine our auspicious and inauspicious compass directions. Each of us has four auspicious and four inauspicious directions. This system of Feng Shui is known as -Eight Mansions- which is a study of energy distribution within a house that is demarcated into 8 sectors.

To know how the computation of the Kua number is derived, please visit http://www.proactive-qi.com/PersonalKua.html

Based on the Eight Mansion, if you have a Kua number 3 for example, your auspicious directions are South, North, Southeast and East. Correspondingly, South is known as -Sheng Qi-, North is -Tian Yi-, Southeast is -Yan Nian- and East is -Fu Wei-. What it means is, South is for Wealth & Prosperity, North for Health & Mentor, Southeast for Relationship & Harmony and East for Tranquility & Stability.

So how do we go about applying this system of Feng Shui to energize and revitalize ourselves? If you want success and prosperity, you need to tap into the energy of the south by aligning your sitting position facing this direction. If you are not making any headway in your career and are looking for career advancement or business improvement, you can tap into this direction by having your table positioned in such a way that you now -face’ this direction while you work. If possible, your room door should also face (from inside looking out) this direction as this is actually tapping into your Sheng Qi direction. You should also sleep with your bed (headboard) situated to face this direction and your feet pointing in the opposite direction i.e. north.

If you want health and mentor luck, you have to tap into the energy of the north by aligning your sitting position facing this direction when you work. If you are feeling stressed out and looking to improve your health in general or to recover from a particular illness, you can tap into this direction the same way as mentioned above. The energy in this direction also brings good mentor luck or helpful people into your life. You should also sleep with your bed (headboard) situated to face this direction and your feet pointing in the opposite direction i.e. south.

If you cook at home, you should also orientate your stove or oven to face your Tian Yi or north direction for additional benefit in tapping the heath energy in this direction.

If you want relationship luck, you can tap into the energy of the southeast by aligning your sitting position facing this direction when you work. If you are having problems working with people and are looking to mend your relationship with them or building goodwill with people generally, you should tap into this direction the same way as mentioned above. This Qi helps foster better ties and build rapport with people be it loved ones, family, friends or colleagues. You should also sleep with your bed (headboard) situated to face this direction and your feet pointing in the opposite direction i.e. northwest.

A room door (inside looking outwards) that taps into this direction also helps to usher in relationship luck for you. Likewise, if the main entrance door of your house taps into this direction, you will also receive this positive energy into your home.

If you want peace and tranquility in your life, you should tap into the energy of the east by aligning your sitting position facing this direction when you work. This Qi helps you to relax, regain your composure and provides mental alertness. It is sedative and gives a sense of serenity in your living space. You should also sleep with your bed (headboard) situated to face this direction and your feet pointing in the opposite direction i.e. west.

Conclusion

Feng Shui can be an enabling factor in making your life less stressful, more productive and better organized for success if you take the proactive steps to welcome Qi into your life. Get A Free BaZi Reading of Your Destiny at BAZIDESTINY.SYNTHASITE.COM
